ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT — WICKED WIRES JEWELLERY

Wicked Wires Jewellery is committed to making our website and services as accessible and easy to use as reasonably possible for all customers, including people with disabilities.

We are a small UK jewellery business offering handmade .925 sterling silver jewellery, hand-curated jewellery collections, Australian opal gemstones, bespoke jewellery commissions and consultation services.

We are continually working to improve the accessibility of our website and the services we provide.

OUR APPROACH TO ACCESSIBILITY

Our website is operated through the Wix platform. We aim to follow recognised accessibility good practice, including the principles set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

We have not claimed full WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance because our website contains third-party functionality, product imagery, videos and booking tools that may not always be completely accessible to every user.

We are committed to identifying and addressing accessibility barriers as we become aware of them.

CURRENTLY IDENTIFIED ACCESSIBILITY ISSUES

Our most recent accessibility review using the Wix Accessibility Wizard identified two areas that require attention:

1. Heading structure on the homepage

The heading structure on our homepage requires further organisation to ensure that headings follow a logical hierarchy and can be navigated effectively using assistive technologies such as screen readers.

We are working to review and reorganise the heading structure.

 

2. Alternative text for gallery images

Some gallery images currently require more appropriate alternative text.

Because our jewellery and Australian opal collections are highly visual, we are reviewing our gallery images and adding meaningful alternative text where appropriate to help users who cannot see the images.

These improvements are ongoing.

You do not have to rely solely on our website if you experience an accessibility barrier.

  • view or interpret product images;
