Meet Desert Rose, a beautifully elongated Australian boulder opal whose centrepiece is a remarkable natural rose-like formation preserved within the ironstone.

The upper section is dominated by an intricate bloom of creamy golden opal, outlined by rich chocolate and caramel seams that create the unmistakable appearance of layered rose petals. It is a rare geological pattern that gives the stone both elegance and character before the play-of-colour even begins.

Balancing the composition, the opposite end erupts with vibrant precious opal in brilliant aqua blue, turquoise, green and soft violet, creating a striking contrast against the warm earthy host rock. As the stone moves, these colours brighten dramatically while the rose motif remains the focal point.
